At the heart of XTREME GRIND are its rolls, manufactured from highly wear-resistant materials and designed with ultra-precise corrugations. Their specific geometry cuts rather than crushes the beans, minimizing friction and heat generation, thus preserving the coffee’s aromatic compounds. Each roll is driven by independent servomotors, allowing extremely precise control of speed and gap settings. Automatic adjustment between production batches ensures quick recipe changeovers and perfect repeatability.
An integrated water-cooling system, compatible with chillers or external thermal control systems, keeps the rolls at optimal temperature, safeguarding product quality at all times.

TIME-TEMPERATURE LOGIC
ORCHESTRA allows you to pre-set roasting profiles according to a time-temperature logic, also controlling the time as an independent variable of the process. It is thus possible to maintain full control of the different roasting phases, determining the final characteristics of the coffee from the beginning.
It is the answer to the need to obtain constant roasting results over time, especially for products such as pods and capsules, eliminating external influences like the humidity of green coffee, the quantity of the batch entering the roaster, and environmental variables. ORCHESTRA enables full personalisation of the recipes by previously designing the roasting profiles and by setting the time and bean temperature as independent variables.
During the setting of the various set-points, ORCHESTRA shows a simulation of the roasting profile and the ending time estimated. During the process, the preset profile and the curve in progress will overlap in the visualisation of the roasting trend, thanks to the precise self-tuning of the machine’s process parameters.
These features guarantee exactly the same final color, moisture and taste, day by day, during production.

[overview] => UNIKA is able to handle any capsule type available on the market, fed in bulk or stacked. The denester is a space-saving cost-effective solution to feed stackable capsules. The centrifugal unscrambler allows handling of all capsule types, stackable and non-stackable, granting high autonomy. A robotized depacker unit is available for Nespresso compatible aluminum stacked capsules only.

[overview] => The C-900 represents an excellent choice as a turnkey solution combined with IMA high speed capsule filling machines.
The capsule transfer feeding system is equipped with a buffer and capsules recirculation unit and guarantees extremely gentle handling, avoiding capsules damaging. Capsules are fed in a bucket chain and transferred by a pick & place system equipped with gripper-suction cup type units able to respond to any desired configuration.
According to required machine speed and carton capacity, the C-900 can be completed with a single or double flat blank carton magazine.
A simple size changeover allows the C-900 to handle any capsule type available on the market in any arrangement and carton style. The machine can feed up to 900 capsules per minute and pack up to 90 cartons per minute.
The C-900 can be set up according to the arrangement requirement, alternated or nested, and handles a variety of carton styles, including tubes. Top flexibility is achieved in final carton configuration as the C-900 allows single or multi-layer filling and the insertion of interlayers and/or inlays.
Carton space optimization achieved by smart capsule arrangement solutions contributes to packaging material saving and shelf space reduction.
The variety of carton handled by the C-900 are accompanied by a variety of closure options. Starting from the simplest ones up to the more sophisticated solutions, such as:

It has a great flexibility of application, such as elbows, inclined pipes, the option of fixing it to the ground or to the ceiling, multiple discharges and 2-way valves. That means different routes can be installed inside the production area, bypassing any constraints even where there is an existing production complex. Petroncini has developed the TPA system® which guarantees pneumatic product handling for up to 60 m of suction pipes. This system definitely requires less maintenance than mechanical conveyors, avoiding almost all breakage or at least reducing it to a negligible percentage while preserving the aroma.

Pre-nested capsules handled by robotic units forming nest-like grouping are packed into minimally-sized boxes in order to significantly cut back on material consumption and void fill techniques. Equipped with a capsule and box presence detection system, together with the detection ability of the suction cup pick and place system, the FTB577-C also minimises capsule and box rejection.
