IMA Group to unveil technological innovations at BI-REX Competence Center Event

IMA Group is excited to announce its participation in a highly anticipated dissemination event scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the BI-REX Competence Center. During this exclusive event, IMA Group will present the latest breakthroughs achieved through three ambitious projects: QUEST, PLaaS+, and MATRIX. These initiatives represent a strategic commitment to advancing automation technologies, enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and resilience across a wide spectrum of industrial processes. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible in the fields of packaging, industrial control systems, and robotic handling.

Overview of the projects:

  • QUEST: a comprehensive initiative focused on sustainability, QUEST aims to drastically reduce the environmental impact of automated packaging systems by employing advanced methodologies such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Ecodesign. By analyzing the entire life cycle of packaging machinery, QUEST strives to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and lower carbon emissions, setting new standards for sustainable manufacturing.
  • PLaaS+: as industries increasingly integrate digital technologies, PLaaS+ leads the way in transforming traditional automation through the convergence of IT and OT (Operational Technology). This project focuses on creating highly adaptable, resilient production systems by leveraging virtualization technologies to enhance flexibility, scalability, and robustness. The result is a smarter manufacturing ecosystem designed to meet the evolving demands of modern industry.
  • MATRIX: a visionary project dedicated to revolutionizing robotic handling, MATRIX addresses one of the most complex challenges in automated packaging: the manipulation of liquid containers subjected to dynamic spatial motions. By developing advanced motion planning and control algorithms, MATRIX aims to minimize fluid oscillations (sloshing) during high-speed operations. The project’s innovative approach not only improves precision and efficiency but also opens new possibilities for handling delicate or unstable products with unmatched reliability.

IMA Group’s role
