Inaugural ceremony for the new IMA EUROSICMA plant, Vignate, Milano

On May 27^th IMA Eurosicma inaugurated its new and larger plant in Vignate, Milan. IMA Eurosicma was acquired by IMA in 2017 and is part of IMA FLX Hub offering a wide range of horizontal flow-wrapping solutions for the food industry.

The new building counts a total of 9000 sqm and includes offices and a larger production area allowing a significant expansion and improvement both in terms of  production and service capabilities to the benefit of all customers.

A wider production area also allows the possibility to focus on the integration with IMA FLX Hub and IMA Group companies for the development and set-up of complete turn-key solutions.

In line with IMA’s Sustainability policy, the new building has been conceived to minimise waste and consumption. The new building contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions avoiding the use of methane gas and producing 400 kw energy per hour thanks to photovoltaic panels placed on the roof. 

The ribbon cutting ceremony was held by Mr. Alberto Vacchi, IMA’s Chairman and CEO in the presence of Mr. Stefano Cataudella, Corporate Identity & Strategy, Mr. Massimo Ferioli, Chief Group Organization Officer, Mr. Massimo Marchesini, Chief Global Business & Operations Officer and Mr. Paolo Gobbi, Mayor of Vignate. The ceremony included speeches, the blessing of the building and a visit of the new plant.
