IMA is pleased to host a webinar in collaboration with SAES Coated Films, entitled “Recyclable mono-material packaging and processability”.
When will be the webinar?
It will be streamed on 28th November, at 2:30 pm, on Linkedin >>
Who will be the speakers?
Our team of experts will include Davide Paltrinieri, Group Lab Materials Manager from IMA Ilapak; Roberto Rocca, R&D and Quality Manager from SAES Coated Films; Gaetano Campanella, Technical Development Manager from SAES Group.
What is it about?
The core topic will be sustainability in packaging, which is a fundamental requirement that is becoming increasingly important on the market, despite remaining a really challenging factor. Its centrality is also due to new Regulations approved by the EU, with PPWR leading the way and foreseeing that all European packaging must be recyclable by 2030 and effectively recycled by 2035.
To achieve this objective, mono-materiality is fundamental, with PE being the polymer most widely recovered from flexible recycled packaging.
Our experts will present tests that highlight the challenges of the transition from standard multi-material structures to mono-PE structures, analysing and testing various substrates supplied by SAES both in the laboratory and on IMA Ilapak flow wrapping machines.
The goal is to ensure that everything works in harmony, optimizing and controlling the process in a specific manner to enhance production quality.
Take part in the webinar to find out how the project unfolds and discover how we can be your best partners in achieving the most innovative sustainable packaging solutions.
About SAES Coated Films
SAES Coated Films supplies high-barrier films for lamination, obtained by its coating technology named COATHINK, that uses a proprietary water-based lacquer with high barrier properties. High barrier packaging is necessary to protect food: to preserve its quality and guarantee appropriate shelf life.
SAES Coated Films invents, designs, and produces these lacquers leveraging the robust expertise of SAES group R&D laboratories and equipment: 3000 square meters of laboratories in the headquarters of the Group, and a production plant where they own a complete pool of surface barrier technologies: coating, metallization and AlOx deposition.
