About Us
The Alma Mater Studiorum – IMA Group Joint Laboratory is the result of a collaboration between the University of Bologna, an internationally renowned academic institution known for integrating rigorous research with innovation and thematic specialisation, and IMA (Industria Macchine Automatiche), a global leader in the development and production of automatic machines for the processing and packaging of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, tea, and coffee products, as well as in industrial process automation.
This laboratory represents a meeting point between the academic and industrial worlds, whose goal is to foster innovation, research, and training in strategic sectors and those having a high technological impact.
Our Objectives
The joint laboratory aims to:
- Foster synergy between academic research and industrial innovation, developing advanced technological solutions.
- Contribute to social and environmental sustainability through projects with low ecological impact and support for local communities.
