The FDA hosts IMA Life to speak on Continuous Freeze Drying

The FDA hosts IMA Life to speak at Scientific Sessions on Continuous Freeze Drying in September and December 2019

For the second time in just three months, the FDA invited IMA Life to present its latest developments on continuous spray freeze drying technologies to an audience of drug evaluation and research professionals.

IMA Life was invited to present the LYnfinity technology on continuous spray freeze drying at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) main campus in Silver Spring, MD. The session was coordinated through the U.S. FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) and Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) on September 13, 2019 and December 17, 2019, respectively.

Scientists from the Lab4life lab technology team at IMA Life along with one major pharmaceutical company involved in the testing presented the technology to several FDA scientists and inspectors. The interaction led to several thought provoking questions and discussions around the applications of the technology and the involved validation process. IMA Life and the industry in general very much values such interactions at an early stage to not only improve emerging technology awareness but also for training and feedback. IMA Life is concurrently testing several candidate formulations to identify feasibility for adoption.
