Highlights from Interphex N.Y.

INTERPHEX NEW YORK (International Pharmaceutical Expo), which took place, this year, last April 26-28, is universally recognized as one of the “best-in-class” meeting place in the world, where innovation, technologies and knowledge intersect with the full spectrum of cutting-edge development and manufacturing equipment to create innovative solutions and improve performance and synergies in the pharmaceutical market.

Even this year, traffic at the IMA booth was non-stop thanks to the astonishing technologies represented by a jumbo screen videowall, where the wide range of our machines was displayed in the tiniest detail, and to a high dynamic and full 3D fly technology revealing Steri Lif3, an IMA LIFE innovative fill-finish concept to process single-use disposables (nested  syringes, vials and cartridges) to deliver state-of-the-art processing of sterile injectables.

Great success around Prexima, IMA ACTIVE’s new tablet press machine, designed to handle all production volumes and capable to assure both pre-compression and main compression forces up to 100 kN with maximum reliability at top-level performances.

The considerable number of highly qualified visitors and specialists on the stand and the great interest expressed in our “true to life” machine demos and relevant animated process visualizations have once again shown IMA capability to feature innovative ideas  and to inspire a new concept of showcase.

IMA novelties in the field of Freeze-Drying and Continuous Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals were introduced by direct, live-speeches at the Process Innovation Hub corner where our experts have contributed to explain how perspectives, insights and ideas lead to new concept design and innovative processes. Special relevance was also given to the Coating Corner, dedicated to the launch of the Coating-Wise Program.

A great contribution was also given at Interphex Technical Education Program, where at the Technical Conference Stage, by April 27th, afternoon session, IMA held a talk focusing on “Liquid Nitrogen Cooled Freeze Dryer Condensers: The Effect of Condenser Temperature on Ice Uniformity and Process Conditions, providing new data from recent Freeze-Dryer tests led by IMA LIFE North America Laboratory.

All positive results and resounding success got from the advanced proposals presented on the stand, contribute to keep high IMA’s interest in this show, as a great platform for networking with current and prospective customers and with pharma industry leaders to discuss future trends and requirements for the processing and packaging of pharmaceutical products.
