CPhI Worldwide is a not-to-be missed event for the whole pharma supply chain and, for many, the highlight of the calendar year.

At CPhI Milan 2021, visitors will have the chance to discover what’s new from IMA for the pharmaceutical industries. IMA’s specialists will be glad to outline the latest and innovative technologies for processing of pharmaceutical and biomedical products, complete packaging lines, advanced solutions for handling and assembling parts in the medical industry as well as digital technologies that embrace the Corporate project IMA Digital.

Visitors will also have the possibility of experiencing live IMA Zero, the Corporate project born in 2019 that has the main goal of minimizing environmental impact in industrial manufacturing. IMA NoP (No-Plastic Program) is one of the four programs of IMA Zero and promotes eco-friendly plastic substitutes for the packages manufactured on the Group’s machines.

In this CPhI edition, a dedicated Green Corner will be showing in particular the new frontier of the green packaging and applications in terms of recyclable and biodegradable films, sustainable plastic materials, paper tray and paper wrapping solutions – just to name a few – and which definitely represents IMA’s concrete commitment towards sustainability.

MACRO PWD

Powder macrodosing machine

MACRO PWD is an automatic intermittent motion machine designed to dose powder, granules and milled products in glass or plastic bottles and jars. The machine is the result of over 50 years of experience in pharmaceutical powder filling with over 100 machines successfully installed worldwide.

Able to satisfy the current safety and handling requirements, MACRO PWD is available in three different configurations:

D and 2D, monobloc versions with one or two dosing units and a single or double closing group, and the 4D version with four dosing units to dose up to two different types of powder in the same bottle.

The powder dosing system features the consolidated auger technology, which guarantees extreme precision and product safety, even in the case of long production cycles.

The machine ensures accurate and clean filling, easy access to the working area and can be equipped with open RABS for powder containment.

A 100% check-weighing system for direct control of net weight during the production cycle is also available.

IMA Pharma: the expert for pharmaceutical industries

IMA Life which includes the production sites of IMA Life Calenzano, IMA Life Pharmasiena, IMA Life North America, IMA Life Beijing and IMA Life Shanghai, offers a comprehensive product portfolio including vial and ampoule washers, depyrogenation tunnels, aseptic and non-aseptic liquid filling and closing machines for vials, ampoules, cartridges and Ready-To-Use components, aseptic and non-aseptic powder microdosing and macrodosing machines. Further to these, IMA Life supplies containment solutions, including Restricted Area Barrier Systems and isolators, automatic and semi-automatic vial loading and unloading systems for freeze dryers, industrial, pilot, laboratory freeze dryers, lyophilisation process developments and continuous aseptic spray freeze drying technology. IMA Safe, which includes the production of IMA Safe Swiftpack, IMA North America (IMA Safe Nova), IMA Safe Co.ma.di.s., IMA Safe PG and Perfect Pack, designs and manufactures complete lines for primary and secondary packaging for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic industries. In particular, IMA Safe supplies a complete range of blister packaging machines, counters for capsules and tablets, tube fillers, deep thermoforming machines, horizontal and vertical cartoning machines, as well as complete end-of-line solutions designed thanks to IMA BFB: from over wrapping, to case packing to palletizing. IMA Safe also offers, thanks to the acquisition of Perfect Pack, complete lines for packaging in thermo-sealed sachets and stick packs.
