Alberto Vacchi presents IMA Digital

Friday, 24 February 2017, Alberto Vacchi, IMA’s Chairman and CEO, presented to IMA’s managers the IMA Digital programme, which summarises all of the projects that represent IMA’s commitment to the evolution towards the Smart Factory and Smart Products. IMA’s leadership in terms of innovation and technology imposes a highly competitive position also in the challenges of Industry 4.0.

On this matter, Alberto Vacchi declared:

“The use of Information Society tools has been part of our DNA ever since the first applications in the world of mechanics, but today a further step is needed and we are organising ourselves to put it into practice in the best way possible. We are well aware of the strengths and weaknesses that full implementation of Industry 4.0 could uncover. We have initiated a constructive debate with the world of labour to better understand the forces at play in the so–called fourth industrial revolution.”
