The “Open Factories” initiative is promoted by the Leonardo Committee.
On the occasion of the National Day of Made in Italy, promoted by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy on 15 April of each year, on the anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci, the Leonardo Committee returns with the second edition of “Open Factories”, an initiative aimed at highlighting the importance of the concept of Made in Italy and the excellence of Italian companies.
IMA, one of the Leonardo Committee member companies that have joined the initiative, opened its doors to students for an exclusive event dedicated to technological innovation, research and development in the industrial automation sector.
The event “IMA Backstage: behind the scenes of innovation, where Mechanical Engineering and Automation guarantee the future” took place on Friday 11 April at IMA’s plant in Via Maestri del Lavoro 203, Cà Bianca, Bologna, Italy.
A journey behind the scenes to discover how mechanical engineering and automation combine to create cutting-edge solutions, with a focus on automatic machines for the pharmaceutical industry and, in particular, for the processing of liquids and powders in aseptic environments. This was followed by a factory tour in the Group’s plant to introduce students to the technology of the machines designed and produced by IMA.
An event that celebrates Made in Italy and highlights the talent, tradition and innovative capacity of the IMA Group, creator of value for the local area.
