IMA Active is pleased to take part in the Emerson Users Exchange 2021, which will be held online, on March 29-31, 2021.

The Emerson Global Users Exchange is a three-day user-group conference organized by Emerson users for Emerson users every other year in Europe and every year in the USA. It focuses on latest innovations that are improving production quality and efficiency through dedicated presentations and training sessions that will boost the users skills and knowledge about the latest technical solutions. In addition, the Technology EXPO and the Industry and Technology Forums will give a unique opportunity to learn about the latest trends and engage with the experts.
The three-day conference has the target to promote the technological innovation to make the manufacturing processes safer and more sustainable thanks to digital transformation. The case studies and the experts’ meetings will offer new perspectives and recent information on automation to reorganize the manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, reducing costs and achieving higher level performances.

During the live users presentation session, Alan Johnston, Senior Life Sciences Consultants at Emerson and Marco Minardi, Automation Manager at IMA Active will give the presentation on “Continuous Manufacturing in Oral Solid Dose: the journey from conceptual to commercial”.

Continuous processes are complex, requiring precise process control, reliable monitoring of quality attributes, process analytical technology (PAT) measurements, accurate processing of analytical data and advanced control techniques. We have taken a holistic approach to the design and development of the Continuous Manufacturing solution to ensure all operational and functional aspect are addressed. To manage all these critical variables, the control system must have the capability to measure and manage variance in the overall manufacturing process then through advanced process control ensure quality and consistency in the final product. The continuous manufacturing line will comprise of several individual pieces of equipment that will be seamlessly integrated and orchestrated to provide end-to-end production. Each individual machine shall be easily interchangeable, and the respective data integrated into the orchestration layer.
