The freeze drying process has important applications in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and pharmaceutical freeze drying is now a standard process used to stabilize, store or increase the shelf life of drug products and other biologicals.
LYOFAST is IMA Life solution to keep freeze-drying competitive as a pharmaceutical processing step.
For either bulk format or liquid in vials, ampoules or syringes, the LYOFAST units are designed for freeze drying high value products, such as: vaccines, antibiotics, cytostatics, biologicals, hormones, active ingredients, and reactives.

IMA Lyofast freeze dryers embody the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry for faster, safer, cheaper and more ecologically friendly processes:
• The IMA Life patented FusionTM shelves reduce energy consumption typically in heating, cooling and steam sterilization thus achieving a reduction in energy costs and fast temperature response. The FusionTM shelves allow for a 20% reduction in weight leading to reduced energy consumption during freeze drying and sterilization.
• PAT tools reduce overall process time and energy consumption.

Freeze drying areas from 4 m2 to 50 m2.

Cylindrical or rectangular chamber with separate ice condenser.

Two stage reciprocating semi-hermetic, water-cooled refrigeration system.

Shelf cooling to -55°C and condenser cooling to -75/120°C. HFC refrigerants with direct expansion.

Variable shelf interdistance and integrated design with the loading system.
6.
FUSION™ shelves in AISI 316L with brushed satin finish, mirror finished edges and 0.5 mm/m flatness.

Vertical sliding slot door.

Vacuum measurements with active Pirani type gauge.
By constructing the LYOFAST freeze dryer from a series of standard modules, IMA Life is able to compress project schedules and reduce lead-times, even with large capacity equipment, with significant cost-savings.
