Hydra 400 ensures a much faster and more accurate aseptic process for pharmaceutical containers, through two carousels: one for washing and one for drying. The innovative shape of the drying blades is the key to a level of efficiency never seen before.
In this webinar we examine the key design and technological features of the Hydra 400 external vial washer.

While the POM-C physiologically inert plastic polymer displays excellent mechanical characteristics and resistance to chemicals and solvents, other polymers are available for specific needs. Externally, the protective hood is made from stainless AISI 304 steel. Safety is also a priority and glove ports can be installed to avoid the risk of contamination during parameter setting procedures. The webinar also examines the washing station sanitisation system and materials in contact with washing media. Lastly we discover the options for the operator to control the equipment.

It is always important to know how and where a machine should be installed to appreciate all the benefits available, so we will now look at this aspect.

External vial washing safeguards operators from contamination hazards, so often Hydra 400 will be isolated from the external environment. This is achieved in part by creating negative pressure internally so everything goes in and nothing comes out. After detailing how to configure the equipment with several features regarding isolation, size changeover operations will be investigated focusing on how little or no tooling is required for standard procedures.
