IMA CA1 represents the latest and most challenging innovation in the coffee pod packaging sector, guaranteeing the highest efficiency together with the most compact machine layout, and perfectly in line with IMA’s traditional concepts. The CA1 is a unique high speed machine able to produce up to 800 soft pods per minute in a single lane, counted, stacked and packed into a heat-sealed flat bottom bags.

The CE1 combines top performance and top-quality filter paper pod achieving maximum production speed of 450 pods in outer envelope per minute, on three lanes.
Designed for high-performance production lines, this pod packaging solution brings efficiency with intelligent design, ensuring high output rates within a significantly compact footprint compared to market standards.
An advanced coffee dosing system prior to mechanical compression guarantees even a uniform distribution of coffee inside the pod for excellent and consistent extraction.

The CA3 is a monobloc coffee pod packaging machine capable of packing, in a modified and conditioned atmosphere, Soft or Hard pods containing coffee, heatsealing them in a protective outer envelope and finally packing them into cartons at a production speed of 250 pods per minute. IMA has designed and manufactured the CA3 according to the highest efficiency criteria, and in particular, to an extreme flexibility while guaranteeing the best product quality on the market.

The CA6 is the most simple and compact coffee pod packaging machine available on the market able to produce, in modified and conditioned atmosphere, 130 hard pods per minute containing coffee on a single line. The line provides for pod protection by inserting it into a heatsealed outer envelope; while final packaging is achieved by programmable counting and fully automatic cartoning, as well as, by an exit belt complete with flip-flop unit for the bulk filling of pods into cartons or bags.

Beyond the A to Z of coffee processing and packaging, IMA Coffee is committed to increasing sustainable practices to reduce roasting emissions and test alternative packaging materials, implementing advanced eco-friendly solutions throughout the industrial process to rise to the challenge of coffee sustainability.
Over the past few years, IMA’s approach to sustainability has led to the design and adaptation of packaging technologies to effectively handle compostable materials, in collaboration with OpenLab, IMA Group’s network of technological laboratories and testing areas dedicated to research on sustainable materials, technologies and production optimisation processes. This environmental commitment applies through adapting filling and sealing technology to the new packaging materials, and testing alternative processes to preserve the resources and minimise the packaging waste.
OpenLab analyses new sustainable and innovative materials such as compostable, biodegradable, paper-based or ultra-thin film, before they are commercially available, developing projects to respond to customer needs and studying alternative processes and material specifications.
