DOMINA is conceived as a modular technological platform, where all the functional blocks are easily
removable and interchangeable, allowing a plug-and-play shift among different machine configurations.
The innovative longer die-feeder is the ideal solution for powders with a poor flow factor, while the
third compression roller is designed specifically for hard-to-press powers. Both of them ensure process
stability and, ultimately, superior final product quality.
D-Intelligence
Designed with an eye to Pharma 4.0, DOMINA is easily adaptable to state-of-the-art production
environments, able to learn and suggest improvements. Upper and lower compression axes are fully
automated and adjustable via the HMI. Punch tightness and compression load cells allow for adaptive
diagnostic capabilities.
D-Smartness
Thanks to its small footprint, DOMINA can be perfectly integrated in existing product environments. A
smart design also leads to an enhanced user experience. Thanks to a rotating arm nested in the machine,
turret changeover is accomplished in a matter of minutes. This operation is servo-assisted and fully
guided via the HMI: operating errors are practically eliminated.
D-Effectiveness
Based on the proven PREXIMA concept, DOMINA is designed with an extremely robust structure, allowing
both pre-compression and main compression forces up to 120 kN. The upper and lower cast iron structures
are rigidly connected ensuring maximum reliability even at high production speed. The compression
rollers have the same 250 mm diameter and are fixed on both sides, thus ensuring optimal performance
even with the most challenging products.
