Today, IMA signed an agreement with the Folco family to buy 80% of FASP S.r.l., a company based in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza).
Founded in 1981, FASP develops technological systems for the production of electric motors: from the manufacture of stand-alone machines up to the realization of completely automated turnkey coil winding lines.
Thanks to the experience and know-how gained in forty years of activity, FASP provides innovative and efficient solutions to manufacturers of electric motors operating in a wide range of sectors: automotive, electric vehicles, home automation, lift elevators, electric pumps, submersible motors, energy power generators and various industrial applications, concerning round wires coil inserting technology (Pull-In).
FASP also offers testing, installation, and qualification services, spare parts and equipment maintenance. More information on FASP are available at the web site www.faspautomazioni.com.
This acquisition, which is scheduled to be finalized in July, will complement the portfolio of high-tech solutions provided by IMA in the field of automated machines for producing electric motors and represents a further step of IMA’s strategy to consolidate its presence in such market after the initial investment in ATOP S.p.A. completed in 2017.
With this acquisition, IMA has the opportunity to become not only one of the leading international providers of EV motors solutions, but also – thanks to FASP’s consolidated know-how – a key supplier of technological solutions to the global electric motor markets.
