IMA Group at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2021, September 27-29th

Enter the world of processing and packaging equipment and discover the latest innovations in the Pharma, Food & Diary, and Confectionery markets.

With the reopening of the most important international exhibitions, IMA is eager to welcome Pack Expo visitors in Las Vegas to present the latest innovations and news within its comprehensive range of machines. In fact, with its 60-years-history, IMA Group stands as one of the biggest manufacturers of automatic processing and packaging equipment worldwide, having one the most extensive product portfolio.

Sustainability will be at the center of the attention during the event with the IMA ZERO Corporate Project.

Born in 2019, IMA ZERO is the foundation of the Group’s sustainable development program. It has the ultimate goal of minimizing environmental impact in industrial manufacturing and of promoting and creating a working and living habitat that always puts people at the centre.

IMA ZERO is composed of 4 programs, and, during the event, visitors will have the possibility of experiencing two of them: the IMA NoP (No-Plastic Program) and the IMA LOW (Low Impact Program).

With the IMA NoP Program, the Group promotes eco-friendly plastic substitutes for the packages manufactured on its machines. Indeed, the packaging machines on the booth are part of the IMA NoP Project. They can be easily configured and equipped to properly run new generation sustainable and innovative materials such as paper-based, compostable, biodegradable or ultra-thin films and get same performance of old-style plastic films.

Within the IMA NoP Program, IMA has established the OpenLab, a network of technological laboratories and testing area where Material Technologists carry on researches on sustainable materials, technologies and production optimization processes.

Thanks to the implementation of the most modern digital infrastructures, together with think tank spaces, environments dedicated to the generation of ideas and the prototyping of materials, IMA aims to build a connection between knowledge and skills coming from machines, packaging manufacturing and customers.

IMA LOW project embodies the Corporate commitment to increasing sustainable practices to preserve resources. Over the years, IMA has been incorporating this concept both in its organisation as well as in its development policies, for constant adoption and conception of innovative low impact technologies.

For instance, for all new machines developed, there are strict water and electric consumption standards. It is the case of the Vertical Form Fill and Seal machines that IMA Ilapak brings to the  show. They  encompass an energy recovery system to consume less energy thanks to the ”energy saving design with regenerative braking drives”. Needless to add that, anyway, all IMA Ilapak flow-wrappers are equipped with brushless motors to reduce energy consumption.

During the event, IMA will also broadcast from the booth on its social media to present its IMA ZERO Project and its new OpenLab network.

Machines on show

In the Packaging Area of the booth, IMA Ilapak is present with:

VEGATRONIC 6400: the most efficient and hygienic bagger on the market, developed and adapted to meet the specific demands of meat industry in terms of sanitary design, accessibility, fast changeover and OEE (overall equipment effectiveness).

VEGATRONIC 6000SD: unrivalled hygienic continuous VFFS machine designed in compliance with strictest USDA DAIRY standards. Thanks to its box motion jaw design, this modular machine can pack products in a variety of bag styles, including pillow, block. bottom, Quattro, EasyPack, Flexcan and Doy-style packs.

CARRERA 1500: this flow-wrapping machine can be configured with either manual or automatic feeding, giving users the option to integrate it within a fully automated continuous workflow. Optional extras include a dual film reel holder and automatic film reel splicing – features that contribute to overall line efficiency.

DELTA EAGLE: a high speed flow wrapper platform designed to be modular and configurable to a wide range of speeds and applications, designed to meet global requirements of efficiency, safety and performance. It comes available for harsh and wash down environments. The machine on show is completed with the ROAD RUNNER, a row removal system.
